National Mathematics Day

Sri Ramanujan’s birthday was observed in the school as National Mathematics Day, on 20th December 2021. A Maths quiz was held in all the classes where students participated and created a conducive environment to work in groups. It is a way to  briefly the knowledge, abilities and skills of students, enhancing their interest in the subject.

Constitution Day - Primary Section

"I like the religion that teaches liberty, equality, and fraternity. "

26th November has its own importance in the history of Independent India because on this day in 1949, the constitution of India was adopted and it came Into effect on 26th January 1950. Therefore, marking the dawn of a new era, we celebrate the constitution day. Students of our school also celebrated this special day with great enthusiasm. The celebration was started by a week's assembly. An important part of the celebrations was the reading of the Preamble. Some activities were planned for the students. They made the activities innovative by writing inspirational quotes, slogans, fundamental rights. This day served as a reminder to live by and promote these timeless values in our communities.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - Primary Section

"FREEDOM IS THE OPEN WINDOW THROUGH WHICH POURSTHESUNLIGHTOF THEHUMANSPIRITAND HUMAN DIGNITY."

Continuing the sequence of celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the children of the Primary Section participated in the GK Quiz, in which questions were asked about the great freedom fighters of India. The quiz was conducted house wise in which all the students participated with great enthusiasm.

Girl Child Day

On 8 September the Sophians of Primary Section celebrated Girl Child Day and birthday of Mother Mary. The motto of this day is to promote the position of girls among society's people. Mother Mary is the greatest of all mothers and mother of Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore "Empowering the girl child means empowering the future." by these words the angels of class V surrendered their prayers to the almighty for the well-being of girls all over the world. In the continuation of this program girls of class IV expressed her views by delivering a powerful speech and the students of class III recited poems, class II students expressed their emotions by whirling on the tips of their wings. In the last class 1 student told, how the girl child contributes to this world by serving as a doctor as a painter or as a minster.

International Literacy Day

Literacy, the ability to read and write, is the most important skill children learning school and it becomes the foundation for all further educational strides in life.

International Literacy Day, celebrated on 8th September each year is the day to remember the importance of literacy for individuals and communities around the world.

With no boundaries or limitations, the only skill that can make you polish the potential within you is Education.

There is nothing as powerful as education and we should celebrate this day everyday to distribute the power of literacy far and wide.

International Charity Day

Mother Teresa was a catholic nun and her heart is full of love. She founded the missionary of charity and received the Nobel Prize for her wonderful work. To most of the people, she is a role model of charity, compassion and selflessness. International charity day serves to enhance and increase social responsibility among us, all solidarity, and to increase the public's support for charitable causes.

National Sports Day - Primary Section

*Sports do not build character. They reveal it.*

On August 29, India celebrates National Sports Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey wizard Dhyan Chand, who was an integral part of 1928, 1932 and 1936 Olympics Gold medals winning squad. He is regarded as nation's pride.

On this day Sports Quiz was conducted for classes 1 to 5. Children enthusiastically participated in the activity. They showed their love and interest in sports through their active participation.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

The bond between a sister and a brother is uniquely beautiful the love, care , silliness , laughter and annoyingness siblings share a pure joy. there is no relationship closer then than The support a sister provides to her brothers paves for the protection a brother looks out for his sister. This bond is signified by a beautiful tradition and festival. Raksha Bandhan.

The students celebrated this beautiful and auspicious day by participating in various activities. Children poured their love in handmade rakhi and tied on their brother's wrist. Girls also made a collage using their siblings photographs and showed their love for them. Girls also recited poetry for their siblings to make them feel special. They also made videos doing mono acting. Digital rakhis were also made to send to far-away siblings.

AZADI KA AMRITOTSAV

To commemorate this historic event, we celebrate our Independence on 15th August every year. This year the little patriots celebrated this day by participating in various activities like making tricoloured brooches, greeting cards, national symbols. Students also sang and danced on patriotic songs.

According to the circular issued by CBSE, our school celebrated ‘ AZADI KA AMRITOTSAV’.Students participated in the activities given in the curriculum like poster making and expressed the feeling of patriotism.

Gandagi Mukt Bharat - Primary Section

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) has decided to organise a week-long behaviour change campaign called ‘Gandagi Mukt Bharat’ (GMB) from 8th to 15th August 2020.  As the name implies, the campaign aims to reaffirm commitment towards building a cleaner and healthier future.

This campaign makes people aware of open defecation and also makes aware of the proper use of water, the importance of wearing mask, keeping two feet distance for social distancing, among others, etc.

CBSE has asked affiliated schools to ensure participation of students and teachers in the activities. So the children of our school also participatedin various cleaning activities like brooming the house and making their videos , cleaning up their shelves , making dustbin and other useful things using waste materials and drawing cleaning tools.
