“Mind Sparks: A GK Adventure for Curious Kids”✨🧠

Today’s GK Quiz: A Thrilling Competition for Class 2A

The much-anticipated General Knowledge quiz for Class 2A was held today, and it was nothing short of an exciting battle of wits! Students showcased their sharp minds and quick thinking as they competed for the top spot. The Blue House emerged as the proud winner of the day, thanks to their teamwork and quick responses.

The quiz comprised three engaging rounds, each testing the students’ knowledge and speed:

1. Questionnaire Round: In this round, two questions were asked to each house. Every correct answer earned them 10 points, setting the foundation for the competition.

2. Rapid Fire Round: This round was a race against time! Each house had just 15 seconds to answer as many questions as possible, pushing them to think on their feet.

3. Buzzer Round: The most thrilling round of all, where students who knew the answer had to rush forward, ring the buzzer, and give their response. This round truly kept everyone on the edge of their seats!

The Blue House shone brightly with their quick reflexes, deep knowledge, and impeccable teamwork. Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and effort. It was a day filled with learning, fun, and excitement!

Fourth Week of Advent: Illuminating Love at Sophia School, Bikaner

 

As the season of Advent drew closer to its culmination, Sophia School, Bikaner, embraced the essence of the fourth week: Love. The lighting of the fourth candle on the Advent wreath symbolized the boundless love that unites and uplifts us all, inspiring the school to take heartfelt steps toward spreading joy and kindness.

 

A Celebration of Love and Togetherness

 

The week commenced with a serene and symbolic Candle Ceremony led by the dedicated helping staff of Sophia School. Their act of lighting the Love Candle beautifully reflected the spirit of giving and compassion.

 

The ceremony was accompanied by:

• Soulful Carols that filled the air with harmony and warmth.

• Joyful Dances showcasing the vibrancy of the festive season.

• Heartfelt Prayers fostering unity and gratitude.

 

Sister’s address to the gathering was the highlight of the event, inspiring everyone to carry the message of love beyond the walls of the school and into the world.

 

Charity Initiatives: Love in Action

 

In the spirit of Advent, the school extended its love through meaningful acts of charity:

• Distribution of essential items to underprivileged families.

• Support to local orphanages and shelters with donations and care packages.

• Community visits filled with songs, stories, and shared meals to bring warmth and joy to those in need.

 

Spreading Light, Sharing Love

 

The Fourth Week of Advent reminded us that love is the greatest gift we can offer. Through every act of kindness and every shared smile, Sophia School illuminated the true meaning of Christmas.

Class 1B GK Quiz: A Fun and Learning Experience

The Class 1B General Knowledge Quiz was a wonderful event that combined learning with fun and friendly competition. The activity encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and confidence among the young learners.

Event Highlights

  • Round 1: Simple Questions – A warm-up round to ease participants into the quiz.

  • Round 2: Rapid Fire – Quick thinking and fast answers kept the excitement high.

  • Round 3: Visual Challenge – Identifying images tested their observational skills.

Celebrating the Winners

Red House emerged victorious, but all participants shone with enthusiasm and knowledge.

Class 1A GK Quiz: A Celebration of Knowledge and Fun!

Sophia School’s Class 1A hosted an exciting GK Quiz Competition, blending learning with joy for our youngest scholars. The quiz was thoughtfully divided into three rounds:
    1.    Simple Questions Round: Students showcased their foundational knowledge with enthusiasm and confidence.
    2.    Rapid-Fire Round: This high-energy segment had everyone on the edge of their seats as participants answered questions with lightning speed.
    3.    Visual Round: Engaging images brought curiosity to life as children identified and explained what they saw.

The event concluded with Greenhouse emerging as the proud winners, but every participant walked away with new knowledge and wonderful memories. The joy on their faces and the cheers from their peers made the event a heartwarming experience.

At Sophia School, we believe in fostering curiosity and love for learning from an early age. The Class 1A GK Quiz was a beautiful testament to the spirit of exploration and discovery.

National Mathematics Day

Sri Ramanujan’s birthday was observed in the school as National Mathematics Day, on 20th December 2021. A Maths quiz was held in all the classes where students participated and created a conducive environment to work in groups. It is a way to  briefly the knowledge, abilities and skills of students, enhancing their interest in the subject.

Constitution Day - Primary Section

"I like the religion that teaches liberty, equality, and fraternity. "

26th November has its own importance in the history of Independent India because on this day in 1949, the constitution of India was adopted and it came Into effect on 26th January 1950. Therefore, marking the dawn of a new era, we celebrate the constitution day. Students of our school also celebrated this special day with great enthusiasm. The celebration was started by a week's assembly. An important part of the celebrations was the reading of the Preamble. Some activities were planned for the students. They made the activities innovative by writing inspirational quotes, slogans, fundamental rights. This day served as a reminder to live by and promote these timeless values in our communities.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - Primary Section

Continuing the sequence of celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the children of the Primary Section participated in the GK Quiz, in which questions were asked about the great freedom fighters of India. The quiz was conducted house wise in which all the students participated with great enthusiasm.

Girl Child Day

On 8 September the Sophians of Primary Section celebrated Girl Child Day and birthday of Mother Mary. The motto of this day is to promote the position of girls among society's people. Mother Mary is the greatest of all mothers and mother of Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore "Empowering the girl child means empowering the future." by these words the angels of class V surrendered their prayers to the almighty for the well-being of girls all over the world. In the continuation of this program girls of class IV expressed her views by delivering a powerful speech and the students of class III recited poems, class II students expressed their emotions by whirling on the tips of their wings. In the last class 1 student told, how the girl child contributes to this world by serving as a doctor as a painter or as a minster.

Literacy, the ability to read and write, is the most important skill children learning school and it becomes the foundation for all further educational strides in life.

International Literacy Day, celebrated on 8th September each year is the day to remember the importance of literacy for individuals and communities around the world.

With no boundaries or limitations, the only skill that can make you polish the potential within you is Education.

There is nothing as powerful as education and we should celebrate this day everyday to distribute the power of literacy far and wide.

International Charity Day

Mother Teresa was a catholic nun and her heart is full of love. She founded the missionary of charity and received the Nobel Prize for her wonderful work. To most of the people, she is a role model of charity, compassion and selflessness. International charity day serves to enhance and increase social responsibility among us, all solidarity, and to increase the public's support for charitable causes.
