This campaign makes people aware of open defecation and also makes aware of the proper use of water, the importance of wearing mask, keeping two feet distance for social distancing, among others, etc.
CBSE has asked affiliated schools to ensure participation of students and teachers in the activities. So the children of our school also participatedin various cleaning activities like brooming the house and making their videos , cleaning up their shelves , making dustbin and other useful things using waste materials and drawing cleaning tools.
Tree plantation is one of the best activity for making the planet greener , livelier and healthier. Planting trees help our biodiversity. Without trees the existence of life on the earth is impossible. On the occasion of Plantation Week a tree plantation programme was organised by the students of Primary Section ,Sophia Senior Secondary School. Students planted various types of saplings at home and nearby places following the Covid Protocol.
Children of class First and Second dressed up as a part of a plant. They learnt the different parts of a plant as well as they learnt from growing things, responsibility from caring for plants . They developed new skills about science and nature.
This humble effort made by the students to save mother earth was much appreciated by everyone. Children clicked pics while planting trees which lit up the enthusiasm of these kids. The potted plants added to the beauty of the garden and this go green effort.
Observed on July 28 annually, World Nature Conservation Day acknowledges that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and healthy society. Healthy environment is important for the stable society. Students of primary wing took an effort for conserving our motherland. "Go green and save water" was the main theme for this exciting activity. Children took active participation and showed their concern about the natural resources by making collage, slogan, eco -planter, small planter and paper bags.
The day commemorates the success of "Operation Vijay" launched by the Indian Army to recapture the Indian territories from Pakistani intruders in the Kargil-Drass sector in 1999. Since 1999, July 26 is celebrated as the Kargil Vijay Diwas every year to commemorate the victory of Operation Vijay.
Remembering the martyrs of Kargil War, our primary children enthusiastically participated in different activities.
They showed their love for country and soldiers by reciting beautiful Hindi and English poems, writing life history of our martyrs, making posters and paper craft etc.
Grandparents Day is celebrated to show the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Little angels of primary section felt very delightful to celebrate this day. They participated in an exciting activity and expressed their love & care for their grandparents by clicking a picture with their grandparents and putting it on their whatsapp status. Children participated actively and expressed their gratitude for their loveable grandparents in this manner
World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. To seek the focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issues, including their relations to the environment and development, the children of the primary section of our school were indulged in various activities like slogan writing, slogan speaking, poster making, etc

The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception the students of Primary Section took an active Participation for their physical, mental and spiritual health on this Yoga day.
Students from Classes 1 to 5 performed different yoga poses (asana) and explained the benefits of it. Through their small messages via videos truly gave the lesson that Yoga gives us cure what is fatal to be endured and to endure what you cannot cure. So each day begin with some breathing exercises and simple Yoga asana to be healthy always. Hence the saying,‘Opportunities Don’t Happen, You Create Them’ and by God’s grace can rightly be seen in the month of June.

Father's Day is a celebration for honouring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, parental bonds and the role of fathers in shaping the lives of their children.
Students celebrated the day in their own special way by honouring their fathers, their hero, by sharing their pictures and videos with the school, online depicting their unending love and gratitude for their fathers by preparing cards, photo frames, badges, trophies, selfie frames, for #1dads.

Primary wing organised various online activities to mark World Environment Day. Students showed their concern towards the environment under a series of activities. Different themes were given to students. Students made useful items out of waste - bird feeders and houses, plastic bags, face mask, drawing with slogans,recited poems and chart making, made drawings on 'save environment', while few students planted saplings and made posters on issues related to environment. The purpose was to urge students to make public aware about the environmental issues and to encourage people or communities to become an active agent in developing environmental safety measures and students expressed their love for Nature and pledged to protect it by planting more trees and to adopt eco-friendly measures to conserve various life forms on the Earth.
The searing summer days can be utilized through summer camps as they are
an integral part of every child.
The Execution:-
An online summer camp was organized by our institution to develop social skills and
promote positive environment through seven dynamic and creative activities like:-
English proficiency and personality development, Artistic handwriting, Flameless cooking, Yoga and Aerobics, Moving on the beats, Paper craft and Colouring art.
By participating in these recreational activities, students polished themselves by developing physical and mental activeness, communication skill, perceptions and concern.
