International women's day was celebrated in Sophia Senior Secondary School Bikaner on 8 March 2021 which amplified the social, cultural, economic and political power of female .To make this day more meaningful a very inspiring prayer service was organised by male staff members of our school in honour of women on the theme 'Nari tu hi Shakti hai' .
A meaningful message was portrayed through this prayer service which emphasized that female reflect the power of universe ,she is the nurturer ,she is the incarnation of 'Shakti' the goddess of Power.
Male staff members gave numerous examples of female empowerment in various fields of art, science , literature, civil services, politics, etc. They even acknowledged the mighty contribution carried by our Mission sisters of Ajmer. Sisters with their great vision and remarkable strength of perseverance run numerous colleges ,school ,hospitals and charity institution from past 100 years in empowering the female child.
It was indeed a wonderful day which left behind the imprints of realisation that females are equally an integral part of development for any country.
Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January to honour the Constitution and Republic of our country. Celebration of this occasion annually helps youth and children of our country to be aware of the significance of Indian Constitution, unity and integrity of our nation and also provides an opportunity to everyone to be patriotic towards the nation.
Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Sophia School Bikaner.
The teachers took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The event began at 8:30 am with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by the Chief Guest of the day Col. Akash Jyoti Gogoi, of the Indian Army, followed by the National Anthem.
The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the teachers sang patriotic songs to mark the occasion. The Chief Guest in his address highlighted the significance of the day, and appreciated the teachers for embracing new technology and tools, accommodating students’ different home environments and varying access to resources, and creating a safe and supportive learning environment in spite of widespread uncertainty and fear.
Since students were not supposed to gather in school on Republic Day, they displayed their spirit of nationality within the activities allotted to them class wise. They prepared articles depicting tricolour as the main theme.
Class I students drew tricolour; Class II drew national symbols and wrote few lines on them. Fancy dress was organized for students of classes III – V, where they dressed up like any national leader or in tricolour. They were also given an option to prepare any tricolour themed food or make tricolour rangoli or tricoloured paper badges or flowers. Few made National Flag using various materials and few prepared National symbols and spoke few lines on them. They were also given an option to make National Bird using some craft materials and share video and pictures. The active participation of the students of all the classes displayed their love for the country, Our Motherland, India.

‘Road Safety Week’ is observed throughout the country every year in the month of January in order to highlight and emphasize the need for safe roads. However, this year, instead of Road Safety Week, Road Safety Month will be observed from 18th January 2021 to 17th February 2021 on the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha’. Sophia School, contributed to the cause by taking up online-activities (Posters/Slogans/Paintings/Essays/Quiz/Debate) to promote the concept and become a part of the advocacy campaign for road safety.

National Youth Day was observed in Sophia Sr Sec School, Bikaner.
To honour the many contributions of swami Vivekanand his birth anniversary is celebrated on 12th January as National Youth Day.
The main objective behind the celebrations is to propgate the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekanand and promote rational thinking among the youth of the country.
Students of Class I was given ‘slogan writing’, Class II – Drawing and Class III – Sketches and slogans of Vivekananda. Classes IV and V students narrated Slogans and Speeches on Swami Vivekananda and his ideologies, during online classes. Class IX participated in Essay writing, Poem writing and Painting competitions.
Christmas is a season of love ,harmony and celebration .A celebration rejoicing the birth of baby Jesus who is the symbol of joy , love and hope for mankind.
It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air and to fill the air with this spirit of Christmas our students here in Sophia engaged themselves in different activities like
1.Christmas symbol making (star, Bells,joysticks, Santa Claus ,Christmas tree and Christmas gifts) with messages.(Classes VI and VII)

All these activities were so beautifully and artistically done that it created a heavenly feeling of Christmas glory.
FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK
(7th DECEMBER 2020 TO 12th DECEMBER 2020)
In order to encourage students to inculcate physical activities and sports in their everyday and daily routine life , a 'FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK' celebration was organised in the second week of December from 7th December to 12th December under the program FIT INDIA MOVEMENT .
Our students active participation in various activities reflected their inclination towards a Healthy Lifestyle .

The 71th Anniversary of the adoption of our Constitution was celebrated by our school, as 'The Constitution Day 'on November 26th, 2020. All the students and teachers reaffirmed their commitment to the Indian Constitution by taking the pledge to honor and remember the father of Constitution,Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar the architect of the Indian constitution .Class wise various activities were conducted including reading of the Preamble in Hindi and English , the relevance of the values propagated by the constitution were taken up as discussion during the online classes .
Diwali is the festival of good over evil, the emergence of light over darkness. It is something that all of us can currently relate to and to celebrate hope over despair. To keep up with the spirit of celebrations, the school management decided to spread cheer among its co-workers and the drop out kids coming for the coaching by sharing gifts , sweets and ration items with them .All of them seemed elated and grateful for the love and generosity shown
